How to choose

The choice depends on what you are looking for at that moment.

• Do you want to sort out hair and beard together? The service that combines haircut and beard may be the most convenient.
• Do you want to spend time on the beard only? You can look at the dedicated services.
• Do you like the classic shave? The traditional service is designed for that.

Shape matters too. A short, tidy beard needs different work from a longer, fuller one. That is why, before starting, the barber asks you how you would like it.

The consultation before starting

As with the haircut, for the beard too we talk first. The barber looks at the growth, the direction of the hairs and the shape of your face. Then proposes a line that suits you: softer or more defined, shorter or fuller.

You can tell us how you care for it at home, if something bothers you and how much time you want to spend on it every day. The more you can tell us, the more the result will suit your habits.

If you have sensitive skin or have had irritation, tell us beforehand. For any skin problem, we recommend seeing a doctor or dermatologist.

How to prepare

You don’t need much.

• If you are growing your beard, let it grow for a few weeks if you can. With a slightly longer base it is easier to define the shape.
• Bring a photo of the beard you like.
• Think about what you don’t want: for example “not too short on the cheeks”.
• Arrive a few minutes early.

The beard between one visit and the next

A simple routine helps keep the work done in the shop. In short:

• wash the beard with a gentle product;
• dry it without rubbing;
• apply a little moisturising product;
• comb it every day;
• only make small touch-ups to the outlines.

Why leave it to a barber

At home you can do a lot, but some things are easier in the shop. For example, defining the lines of the cheeks and neck, giving symmetry and choosing the right length for your face. The barber works on this every day and can give you an honest opinion.
